GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

Author Requirements
Manuscripts can be submitted through this electronic platform OJS or through the journal's official mails: [email protected] - [email protected]. The journal Sapiendus publishes papers in Spanish and English. Manuscripts should be submitted in a Word file, Times New Roman font size 12, following the protocol of the latest edition of the APA norms.
The initial or cover page should contain the title in Spanish and English (do not use acronyms), name(s) of the author(s), studies carried out, institutional affiliation of each author, e-mail address of the authors and corresponding Orcid code, source of financial support (if any), acknowledgements and declaration of conflict of interest. The following page should repeat the title and present the work without identifying the authors, structuring the article according to the section of the journal to which it is submitted for evaluation and which is detailed below:
Scientific and technological research article. A document that presents, in detail, the original results of completed research projects. The structure generally used contains four important sections: introduction, methodology, results and conclusions. They will have a maximum length of 6,000 words (excluding abstracts and bibliography). The abstract will be in Spanish and English, should not exceed 250 words and should be structured, like the body of the article, in the following format: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion. The bibliography should not exceed 100 references and should contain a range of 3-5 keywords in Spanish (Unesco Thesaurus) (Decs terms) and 3-5 in English (keywords) chosen from www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh (Mesh terms). They can include up to 5 tables and figures properly titled.
Reflection article. A document that presents the results of completed research from an analytical, interpretative or critical perspective of the author, on a specific topic, using original sources.
Review article. A document resulting from a completed research where the results of published or unpublished research on a field of science or technology are analyzed, systematized and integrated, in order to report on the progress and development trends. It is characterized by presenting a careful bibliographic review of at least 50 references.
Review: brief writing that informs and at the same time evaluates a work or a cultural product; its fundamental characteristic lies in describing and issuing an evaluative judgment in favor or against.
Letters to the editor. Critical, analytical or interpretative positions on the documents published in the journal, which in the opinion of the Editorial Committee constitute an important contribution to the discussion of the subject by the scientific community of reference.
Editorial:Document written by the editor, a member of the editorial committee or an invited researcher on orientations in the thematic domain of the journal.
